The maximum length of stone blocks to be cut must be at least one meter less
than the length of the gang saw. It is better to maintain stone blocks as
regular as possible in shape. Irregular stone blocks will induce uneven
tension to each blade. It will decrease efficiency; furthermore, it will
result in unusual or unbalanced wear of the diamond segments.
